A very special time of year.
We
can’t guarantee you a white Christmas….. But we can promise a warm welcome, a
cosy cottage, mulled wine, candlelight, log fires, Christmas Carols and a
Christmas Day hamper of Seasonal food.
Our cottages are fully decorated to celebrate the Christmas and New Year season. Each cottage has its own style and is dressed accordingly with a Christmas tree and tasteful decorations. Visitors are also invited to add their own special decorations, for a homely touch.
Winter weather can never be predicted, snow on the Preseli hills is always a possibility but whatever the weather, there is something very special about a walk on the beach at Christmas time then home to a roaring log fire.
At Plough Cottages we promise our very best efforts to make your Christmas as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. We are able to organise your holiday food shopping requirements and have everything unpacked and ready for your arrival.
Pembrokeshire is renowned for it’s range of local produce, with locally reared poultry perfect for your Christmas meal. A typical hamper would contain everything required for your Christmas Day Dinner. If you choose to enjoy your meal cooked for you at one of the excellent local restaurants, alternative options are available.
Visitors are always welcome in our local Churches and the Candlelit Midnight Service in the historic and beautiful Church of St Brynach in Nevern, is a meaningful reminder of what Christmas is really all about. You can be sure of a warm reception and a wonderful beginning to Christmas Day. Services here are bi-lingual.
New Year in Eglwyswrw starts off for those energetic amongst us, with an annual walk around the village for the residents, friends and visitors, followed by Cawl (a traditional Welsh soup) in the local pub. A small donation supports one of the village charities. Everyone is welcome.
So if you would like to escape the stress of Christmas, consider the Plough Cottage alternative.
